Legal
Terms of Service
Effective August 21, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Context Cut, including the macOS application, contextcut.app, and related services operated by Green Line Media, LLC, doing business as Greenline Media Solutions.
1. Agreement
By accessing or using Context Cut, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Context Cut. You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. If you use Context Cut for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization.
2. The service
Context Cut provides tools for screen, camera, microphone, and system-audio capture; recording context; editing; transcription; streaming; overlays; and optional publishing integrations. Features may vary by version, plan, hardware, region, or development status. Some features may be beta, experimental, or offered only to approved early-access users.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, protect your email account and device, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account or authorized installation. You may not share access in a way that evades plan, license, or security limits.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Context Cut for your own lawful creative and business purposes. You may not copy, rent, sell, sublicense, bypass technical restrictions, distribute unauthorized builds, or reverse engineer Context Cut except where applicable law expressly permits it.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of recordings, media, transcripts, projects, messages, and other content you create or provide. You grant us only the limited rights necessary to provide a feature you request, such as transmitting selected media to a transcription or publishing provider. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to record, edit, stream, upload, or publish your content, including the voices, likenesses, screens, music, confidential information, and third-party materials it contains.
You are responsible for obtaining consent to record people, communications, screens, and audio when required. Recording and wiretap laws vary by location; Context Cut does not determine whether a particular recording is lawful.
6. Google and YouTube features
If you connect YouTube, you authorize Context Cut to access and act on the connected account only for the features disclosed in the app and our Privacy Policy. You retain final control over actions that create, update, publish, send, or delete YouTube data. You are responsible for reviewing account selection, broadcast settings, privacy, metadata, and messages before confirming an action.
By using Context Cut's YouTube API features, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Context Cut's access through Google Account permissions .
You may not use Context Cut to spam, manipulate engagement, evade platform limits, harass others, infringe rights, misrepresent identity or affiliation, or violate the YouTube Terms, Community Guidelines, API policies, or applicable law.
7. Other third-party services
Optional features may connect to services such as ElevenLabs, Blotato, social-media platforms, Google, YouTube, Stripe, Resend, or Fly.io. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's terms and policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party availability, decisions, content, account actions, or policy changes. You are responsible for credentials and accounts you connect.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Context Cut to:
- break the law or violate another person's privacy, publicity, or intellectual-property rights;
- record, access, publish, or disclose content without required authority or consent;
- distribute malware or interfere with the service, accounts, networks, or security controls;
- harvest, scrape, surveil, profile, or sell Google, YouTube, or other user data;
- mislead users or platforms about automated actions, identity, or content origin;
- circumvent quotas, access restrictions, licensing, or technical safeguards; or
- use the service to threaten, exploit, abuse, or harass anyone.
9. Beta and experimental features
Beta or experimental features may be incomplete, change without notice, consume third-party quotas, lose settings, produce inaccurate output, or stop working. Do not rely on them as your only copy of important material. Keep backups and independently verify recordings, edits, captions, metadata, privacy settings, and publishing actions.
10. Fees and subscriptions
If paid plans are offered, prices, billing periods, renewal terms, taxes, and cancellation options will be shown before purchase. Except where law requires otherwise, charges are non-refundable after the applicable refund period. Third-party usage charges, including API, platform, storage, or network charges, are your responsibility unless we explicitly state otherwise.
11. Our intellectual property
Context Cut, its software, designs, branding, documentation, and service content are owned by Green Line Media, LLC, doing business as Greenline Media Solutions, or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer ownership. If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation, while we will not claim ownership of your underlying content.
12. Service changes and termination
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, including integrations affected by third-party APIs, security needs, or legal requirements. You may stop using Context Cut at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation, security risk, fraud, abuse, legal requirement, or conduct that could harm users, us, or a third party. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Context Cut is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or preserve every recording or edit. Context Cut is not legal advice, and generated transcripts, captions, edits, metadata, and automated suggestions may be inaccurate.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Green Line Media, LLC, doing business as Greenline Media Solutions, and its affiliates, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, recordings, goodwill, or business interruption. Our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Context Cut during the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Green Line Media, LLC, doing business as Greenline Media Solutions, and its affiliates from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, your unlawful recording or publishing, or your infringement of another person's rights.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable United States law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights or either party's ability to seek urgent injunctive relief.
17. General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement concerning Context Cut. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Headings are for convenience only.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms and effective date here. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice when required. Continuing to use Context Cut after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
